Welcome to Velvet Vinyl (velvetvinyl.org), a custom vinyl record pressing service operated by GG Labs d.o.o. (OIB: 89285769328), headquartered in Zagreb, Croatia, with operations in the United States. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Service Description

Velvet Vinyl provides a custom lathe-cut vinyl record pressing service. Each record is individually cut in real-time from audio files provided by the customer. Our service includes audio mastering optimized for vinyl playback, lathe cutting onto 12″ 140g black vinyl at 33 RPM, and packaging with outer jacket, center labels, and protective inner sleeve.

2. Placing an Order

To place an order, the customer must complete all steps in our ordering process: uploading audio tracks, optionally uploading cover artwork and label designs, selecting quantity, and completing payment through our secure Stripe payment system.

By clicking “Pay & Place Order” and completing payment, the customer creates a binding order. All orders are confirmed via email to the address provided during checkout.

Velvet Vinyl reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its sole discretion, including but not limited to orders containing prohibited content or copyright-infringing material.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed on the website are in Euros (€) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated separately and added at checkout.

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Full payment is required at the time of order placement. Production does not begin until payment has been successfully processed.

Prices are subject to change without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of purchase.

4. Audio Content & Copyright

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring they have all necessary rights, permissions, and licenses for the audio content submitted for pressing. This includes ownership of original recordings, mechanical licenses for cover songs, and any other intellectual property clearances.

By submitting audio content, the customer represents and warrants that they own or have obtained all necessary rights to reproduce the content on a physical vinyl record.

Velvet Vinyl does not perform copyright verification and assumes no liability for copyright infringement by the customer. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Velvet Vinyl harmless from any claims arising from unauthorized use of copyrighted material.

We reserve the right to refuse any order containing content that we determine, at our sole discretion, to be illegal, offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.

5. Artwork & Design

Customers may upload custom artwork for jacket covers and center labels. All artwork is printed as close to the submitted design as possible. Velvet Vinyl is not responsible for color variations between the customer’s screen display and the final printed product.

The customer is responsible for proofreading all text, verifying image resolution, and ensuring artwork meets our specifications before submission. We do not accept returns or replacements due to spelling errors, low-resolution images, or design issues present in the customer’s original submission.

6. Production & Delivery

Lathe-cut vinyl records are produced individually in real-time. Estimated production time is approximately 14–21 business days from the date of order confirmation. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date.

Delivery times vary depending on destination. International shipping may be subject to additional customs duties, taxes, or import fees, which are the responsibility of the customer.

Velvet Vinyl is not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our control.

7. Audio Quality & Limitations

Lathe-cut vinyl records are a distinct format with characteristics different from mass-produced pressed records. Customers should be aware that lathe-cut records may exhibit slightly different audio characteristics, including subtle surface noise inherent to the format.

For optimal quality, we recommend WAV format at 44.1 kHz/16-bit or higher. We accept WAV, MP3 (minimum 192 kbps), FLAC, and AIFF. Maximum recommended duration is 22 minutes per side.

8. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

All Velvet Vinyl products are custom-made to order based on the customer’s personal content and are exempt from the standard right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection regulations (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(c)).

Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun. No returns are accepted unless the product is defective due to a manufacturing error on our part.

If you receive a defective product, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at support@velvetvinyl.org with photos or video demonstrating the defect. We will evaluate the claim and, if confirmed, provide a replacement at no additional cost.

9. Personal Data & Privacy

We collect and process personal data necessary to fulfill your order. For full details, please refer to our Privacy Policy. Payment data is processed directly by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

10. User Dashboard

Upon order confirmation, customers receive a unique link to a personal dashboard where they can track order status, listen to uploaded tracks, and view artwork. This link contains a secure access token and should be treated as confidential.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velvet Vinyl and GG Labs d.o.o. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for that specific order.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Zagreb, Croatia.

13. Changes to Terms

Velvet Vinyl reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to the website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
